Can Anyone ID this plant? I've got tons and tons of little sprouts in my yard. Located in Kentucky

Looks like some sort of shrub, but I don't recognise it.

When someone comes up with a name you can check it on www.thetortoisetable.org.uk and find out if its tort safe or not.

Looks like poplar/aspen seedlings...or even some lilacs look like that when the start put...but I am guessing.

It might be a lilac. Not edible if so.

If lilac, then completly safe.

Yes. Lilac is safe...I also checked. Again, they might not want to eat it...especially the leaves. But they might quite enjoy the flowers.

I am going to offer some to Goosefoot and see what she does with them...er, as soon as spring stays put and the plants start to make an appearance.
