tortoise one eye is not opening

hi folks, yesterday i bought a tortoise for my daughter did reasearch and everything but today he was stabbed in the eye himself with hay (substrate) can i take care myself or go to the vet can u add eye drops he has one eye closed

Yes I soaked him his eye is now good
