Hello,
I recently adopted a three year old red footed tortoise. At his old home, he was fed a diet of cat food and veggies. His previous owners did not feed him a specific amount, but they did say that they probably were overfeeding him. I did some research and most people online said that they should not be fed cat food. I also found out that the ridging on his back is pyramiding and can be caused by diet.
He goes outside of his house every day and his humidity seems pretty good.
What and how much should I feed him? Also is it possible to reverse the pyramiding?
Thanks,
Vi and Mr.Tibbles
