A clutch of Russian eggs started to hatch on the 30th. Here's the first one.

Ugh, I am sooooo jealous! My goal is to breed Russians... Your babies are beautiful!

Can I have permission to pick your brain in the future about breeding and incubation???

Thanks :) You really really know your stuff :)

I should have my adult Russians next month! I am very excited. I can't wait for babies, but I know it is going to be awhile.

Isn't it interesting that they seem to be positioned sideways inside the egg. I would have though the head to tail would be oriented from the round end to the pointed end. Little Russian babies are the absolute cutest!!

I love these pictures.

The first one looks like Jack Nicholson busting through the door in "The Shining."

Hey Danny, Great job! I have heard that Russian babies tort's are hard to come by. I know lots of people that have Russians but never
seem successful at having the female's lay eggs. Cute little babies, great pictures the Russian's come out whole as opposed to some of the Greek babies that hatch folded in half.

Thanks Isa, Maggie, Kate, Yvonne, Evan, Meg, Jeff, Janet and Vince :)

This hatchling is from a 6 inch T.h.rutamovi female. It's her first clutch with me.
