Toxic or healthy? I have been given a sulcata book published in 2005 that claims that sweet potatoes are both toxic and healthy. No mention of the leaves being one or the other, it simply says "sweet potatoes."

Its the leaves that are toxic.

I feed sweet potato to my forest torts and box turtles. I grate it with a cheese grater. They love it.
