Sulcata Weird Noises

Hi All,

My sulcata has been making some weird noises. See video. The past few days he has eaten much less, but still eating. He pooped a few days ago, it was a smaller poop. His energy levels seem unchanged. Not sure what to do, call my vet?

He is around 1.5 yrs, 2lbs. 4x8 indoor enclosure and an outdoor enclosure when its warmer out. 80% humidity and 80 degree ambient.

Yes, all temps are spot on.

Looks like startled and when he pops his head inside he's forcing air out to make room for quick retreat

First you need to change out the disc gauges sitting on the box. They are not reliable. The digital gauge is what you want and you want it at tortoise height not higher.
The sound is a bit strange. Not just the sound of air expelled. If that's the only time he makes that noise it's probably nothing to worry about.

Could he have a partial blockage in his nose ?

It sounds to me almost like a cough..do you soak him every day?

Yes he gets soaked every day. Will swap out the guages. He is going to the vet today

Update! Vet confirmed respiratory infection. He had some bubbles coming from his nose today, but not previously. Not impaction as he had a large bowel movement today.

Vet prescribed antibiotics for a month. Ceftazidime 100mg every 3 days.
