Substrate for humid hide

Is Exo terra forest moss ok to use in humid hide for a Hermman hatchling? Using Coir everywhere else in the enclosure but wanted to use the forest moss in the humid hide. Thoughts?

All of my tortoises try to eat that moss. I wouldn't use it. I just use whatever substrate is in the rest of the enclosure and dampen it as needed.
