Species?

We have rescued this tortoise, it was living in a small fish tank with straw, lots of its own mess, and we found a tea light in there too!!!

Can anyone identify the species?

I'd say testudo marginata due to the triangles on the plastron, but I'm no expert.

I did a GOOGLE image search for "plastron of Marginata tortoise" and some of the pictures that come up look pretty much like your pictures. Looks like peasinapod wins this one.
