So gross....

I let my redfoot out to walk around today and found her grazing along and then she went up to a doggie turd and started eating it. I moved her about 3 feet away in a different direction and she managed to make a bee-line back to it and chomp it down. Really? Will I never have to clean up the yard again?? Could this be harmful? I know what my dog eats...good quality dog food. Does it have any benefits the second time around??

can be deadly to your tortoise! they should never share a yard, or you need to at least clean up after your dog before the tortoise is allowed to graze.. Is your dog on Heartworm medication? It should be, and it is deadly to a tort.
Torts eat thier OWN poop and that can be beneficial, but not others..
