Should I feed cut briar vines to my box turtle?

I have briar vines around my yard, and my fire pile is getting overly piled up, should I try offering the briar vines to my turtle? Of course I will cut off all of the thorns off of the vine before feeding them to my turtle

He more than likely won't eat them
