shell question!

got this littlw guy today. hermanns named beans! please can have peoples view on his shell? looks scratched by the number 37.. taking to vets on wed.. just curious. also any way to get the number 37 off? i think its marker pen. thanks!

I don't think the number will hurt your tort; I think it will wear off in a short while.

It does look like the shell is pyramided; possibly due to dry conditions.

I would think a regular soaking would help keep your tort hydrated. Use luke warm water in a dish pan. Make the depth shallow enough that the head is out of the water yet deep enough to cover the tail. Usually about 1 1/2 to 2 inches.

It's a little scratched, no big deal. A lot of breeders mark numbers with sharpie because it's easier than a customer saying, "I want the one 3 from the left and 7 down" it'll come off in a couple weeks with regular soaks
