My mazuri arrived and I couldn't wait to try it with RV. I soaked it a little and made a plate of little lettuce wrap/mazuri. This is the only method I know to get RV to try something she's never tried before.
since she was in her burrow, I knocked on the wood, called her name, spritzed a little (very little) water down, to let her know I would like to see her, topside.
she came out pretty quickly, and said ???what????????? you have my undivided attention.
When she realized I had food, she came right over.. but she's delicate. she knew I had something hidden in the lettuce wrap... first a sniff
then a tentative nibble......
AND IT WAS GOOD!
if I wasn't sure the first bite...
never met a mazuri she didn't like.
As you can tell, she was getting more animated with each bite. I'm amazed I was able to keep my fingers intact while trying to feed and get the shot, all at the same time.
I don't worry anymore about winter food. I don't think I'll have a problem.
