Hey I already have 3 adult red foot tortoises and i'm looking to expand, another breeder in thailand offered me a breeding pair for 1,000 US dollars they are adults and are proven breeders and captive bred. What do you guys think of the price is it overpriced or should i jump in and buy them? They also look gorgeous and seem to have a really smooth shell.

I suppose the value changes across the globe. $1000 dollers is about £650. Here in the uk a trio of proven breeders would be about £750. However only you can decide if it's worth it to you. They look nice torts.

A young red foot captive bred only goes for 80-100 U.S. dollars so an adult maybe something like 200-250 range and pairs are normally cheaper than buying two individuals I would say very over priced. A good deal would be 480 but it also depends on the size of the adults and shipping

No idea what the Thai market value of redfoots is. In Canada, that would be an excellent price for an adult trio.
