red foot eye problems

at my local pet store i have noticed that the rather young red foot has had his eyes closed for some time, and it seems he cant open them. i no the owner pretty well and he usually takes pretty good care or the animals, he said he is trying to build a "tortoise suana" i'm curious if u think this will work, and why are it eyes close. the tank was quite dry.

His eyes are closed because of the lack of humidity. RF do not do well in dry conditions.

We'd be happy to help. He probably just needs some good humidity, which isn't hard but does take a little thought.
