Quick Q&A on measuring

Just wondering if I should be measuring my little guy from the tip of his little beak to the end of his tail or just the length of his shell? As small of a difference as it makes I want to be as accurate as possible. Thanks for all opinions! [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

Stick a yard stick or measuring tape straight out on the floor from a wall, then put your tort on it with his face pushed into the wall and just measure out to the end...works easy that way
