I've noticed my sulcata's plastron gives slightly when pressed and has pink lines. He's still under a year and seems healthy. Is this something that I should worry about? His shell is nice and hard, it's just the underside that's like this.

Hi Mary,
Hatchling plastrons are slightly soft for their first year. The pink lines are new growth on the plastron and perfectly normal. :)

Ok thanks! For some reason it never occurred to me that the plastron grew too! :p There is always something new to learn.....
