I just found myself the caretaker of this 15in 35lbs Sulcata tortoise. His shell looks pretty bad, how can I help? Can it be helped? Or will proper food, temp, UVB ect, help to fix this on it's own?

Proper husbandry and diet will improve the tortoise's health, but his shell will always be bumpy. I couldn't see the picture so don't know how bad the pyramiding is.

I can't see the pic either. A warm humid hide will not hurt and will help with new growth.

Aw, that's not bad at all. That's what most of our bigger sulcatas look like. It appears that you have him in a pretty big habitat. Good for you! You can add more substrate to give him something to dig in. Make it about 4 or 5 inches deep.
