It is a Red Ear Slider. He wants to be put in water.

I know but I can't get to it. It's one someone found at there house and I only got pics. I told them it needs water bad and to feed it mealworms.

It is a red eared slider and it needs an aquatic habitat.

Turtle, Red-Eared Slider. Looks to be about "full grown". Tom is totally correct. This is an Aquatic Turtle. It basks or dries itself by using a ramp or stone. But whilst growing up they were in the Water 95% of the time. They are not meant for land unless its overgrown lawn by the lake/pond... While in the water, Gold Fish, Bloodworm Drops, Krill, Super Worms; depending on the Turtles appetite...
