Whilst bathing my tortoise I found this lump on his leg. It doesn't seem to be hurting him and he is walking absolutely fine. There isn't any anywhere else. Any idea what it could be? It feels like a lump of hard skin or something :/

Are you talking about the little red spot down near the foot? That's nothing. You can compare it to a human skinned knee.

No the lump on his knee

The red spot is because he is a red foot :)

Here's some more pictures, it's hard to see on a picture ImageUploadedByTortForum1394294390.230155.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1394294409.080292.jpg

Are you referring to the joint of the leg where the leg itself bends?

What is the diet you offer the tort? How long have you had the tort? How old/large is the tort?

I see it. Is it like a cluster of odd scales?

I've had my RF for 4 and a half years, he's 5 years old. I offer him a diet of about 75% of greens such as dandelion and kale and 25% fruit/veg. I also offer him protein once a week. It does look a bit like a cluster of odd scales they are raised and hard and they have come up recently.

I've circled the area which I'm concerned about, it's not clear on the pictures

A vet should assess what that is. Doesn't look too serious .

Thank you, I didn't think it was anything too concerning as he's acting normal and doesn't seem to be bothering him. Just wondered if anyone has had something similar?
I'll take him to the vet tomorrow

The vet said it's a skin wound, he's got some oral antibiotics and some antibiotic cream. Nothing to worry about :)

Glad this got sorted out so quickly. Hopefully the wound will heal just as fast.
