I wanted to know if anyone could tell me if keeping a small purple tulip magnolia tree in a outdoor enclosure would be safe. Being that a magnolia will drop its leafs and flowers in the late summer and early fall...are they toxic? Also I talked to someone recently who told me that they fed their redfoots and yellow foots morning glory flowers. I thought that they were toxic? Any ideas?

I have a magnolia tree - it has white flowers - that all my tortoises eat. When I noticed them eating them a few years ago, I checked on the yahoo group Tortoise Nutrition and was told they are fine. Mine don't eat the leaves - although my rabbits do! :)
