New Tort

Good Morning Everyone,

I am delighted to announce that I am new to the site and new to Tortoise ownership.
I picked up my first Hermann's yesterday - Shelldon.

I have been reading up and searching for about 8 months now, and am delighted to have a new member of the family.

It didn't take him any time to get settled in last night, and he ate more than his fair share of tomatoes and dandelion greens before settling in for the night.

I live in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

Lori very nice to have you here. Welcome to the family! Glad to hear you spent so much time researching and then getting what looks to be an adorable little guy.

Well, after 2 days of worrying that I may have had a sick tortoise on my hands, the sleepless nights are over. It would seem that I just have a picky eater!

After not eating a bite for two days, Shelldon has been gorging himself on dandelion greens for 45 minutes now. I honestly don't know where he is putting it all.

I suppose I should have expected it right? Most kids ARE picky. LOL.
