How do you get a tortoise to start eating Mazuri?

Mix the Mazuri with his everyday food and slowly cut down on the everyday, add more Mazuri. I have heard of others starving them but that's not what I would do.

I just picked up some mazuri at the reptile expo in pomona from spikethebest and so far my redfoot loves it my russian and sulc does not, so take what you will from it, but I decided I will only give it to them once or twice a week in addition to their regular food.

I guess a little wont do much harm especially if your feeding it once a week.

Try softening the Mazuri in a little warm water.
It starts to smell really good once it's softer and
becomes more palatable.
I've also been told to use apple juice to soften the
kibble, but haven't done that for my guys yet. I don't think the juice
is very good for them.
Hope that helps.
Cheers

Sorry should have specified that moistening the Mazuri with apple
juice I would do for my redfoots but definitely not for Luka our
leopard.

How about twice a week, would it do harm to a Sulcata tortoise?
Thanks.

By the way,in the turtlestuff.com,they recommend that you not feed Mazuri to a yearling and juvenile Sulcata tortoise?Would anyone know why?
Thanks.
