Male or female??

We are looking at buying this leopard tortoise. We know what we hope it is , and we know what the breeder is saying he's leaning towards. But, it is only 4 inches long and is still young. What is y'all's best guess??

They all look female at this age . So most everyone is going to say female.

The anal scutes look like they are starting to go female, but I'd like to see the tail before I made that call.

I don't have any pictures of just the tail but owner did say the tail was short and looked female compared to other ones he had.

I'm leaning female but I wouldn't call it at least until it reaches 6"
