I’m using a 60 watt heat bulb. And have uva bulb in the other. Is the temperature too cold in the tank? Does it need to be higher than 80? My turtle seems to enjoy it the way it is in the tank. I did order him a 75 wat heat bulb for basking. I spray the tank as well for moisture

Greetings.

id suggest that you not rely on the type of temp gauge you have & invest in a good digital one available at Lowes or HomeDepot. A good brand is AcuRite. Right now, you really arent recording the data where your tort is, you are looking st the temp on the side of the cage.

A good digital gauge, and maybe another IR “point n shoot” temp gun.
