I am not Tom, but my feeling is this... would you rather cause him stress and get him cleaned out OR not cause him stress, not clear out his system, and have him get a full fledged blockage and have to have surgery and maybe even die? Me, I would go with the maybe causing him stress and get him cleaned out. Also with repeated soakings, they often become accustomed to them, realize the soaks are not going to hurt them, and start to relax and perhaps even enjoy them.

Jacqui you are right... I will continue to soak... Just wanted everyones thoughts on the possible stress issue....I picked up some pumpkin today like you recommended...Canned (yes unsweetened).. So I will soak him in the AM.. And hopefully get him to eat some of the pumpkin....

This is the second time in less than a month.

Stress from soaking has never caused me any problems and I do it A LOT.
