With winter fast on its way I will be needing some extra UV for the torts. I was wondering if there have been any incredible breakthroughs in LED lighting for reptiles. I know they have been growing plants for a while now but I was wondering if anything has crossed over.

Thanks for the info.

None that I have heard of. MVBs are still the best solution for most species, in my opinion. Maybe a florescent tube and CHE set up for redfoots.

There have been several LED alternatives that have been marketed for Reptiles. The technology has been around for at least 2 years now in the Reptile trade.

To provide UV? Or just light?

Sorry to change the subject, just wondering if you still have your Aldabras? I remember you having them for sale a year or so back.

Yup. I still have them. They are bigger then ever. Not sure if I can still lift the larger one.
