Hey people,

I've just joined this thread so I could get my questions answered (if any) about my new acquisition of a Spur-Thigh Tortoise, my lovely bundle of joy is a lovely 2 year old.

My current herp collection is fairly small - 1 Bearded Dragon (Goofy) and my Spur-Thigh Tortoise (Pluto). Hoping to increase my collection after the winter!

Abit about myself, I am a A-level student, love my animals, furry or not (prefably not!). I am also a keen photographer.

My full collection is growing and growing each month! But here is the current list:
0.1 Domestic Cat (Brown Tortoise Shell)
1.0 Rabbit (Havana)
0.2 Degus
2.0 Axolotls
4 African Giant Land Snails
A Colony of Giant Cockroaches
A Colony of Indian Stick Insects
2.4 Silver-Tipped Tetras
4 Black Neon Tetras
1.0 Bearded Dragon
1.0 Spur-Thigh Tortoise

Some of my pets that have died in the last year includes: (due to age or weather :()
1 African Giant Land Snail (died due to weather patterns kept coming in and out of hibernation as my heat mat broke :( and he was an old snail!)
A Colony of Sabah Stick Insects (weather)
0.1 Praying Mantis (age)

Regards,
TM

Hello and welcome. Which spur-thigh do you mean? African or Mediterranean?

Love your collection. I've got quite a few roach species myself. Which species of "giant" roach do you have?

Wasn't that a quote from Julius Caesar's last speech? :p

Welcome to the forum...do you have a spur thigh (Testudo graeca) or a African spurred (Geochelone sulcata)? Nice assortment of interesting creatures you've got there!

JEEZ...I love it when I practically quote Tom moments after the fact!
