Is it OK for Leopard?

I am finding the Cypress mulch for my leopard tortoise but failed. What I found is the cedar mulch. Is it OK to use?

Hey Tom. I just found a kind of bark. I am not sure it is belong to the orchid bark. Here is the pictures.

Why don't you use a more earthen type of substrate? Like a finely reduced Peat Moss or the like?

Yes I will use peat moss as well. My plan is that the peat moss is in the bottom and the bark is on the top. Peat moss is seem messy.

I just google it. It should be the pine bark.

It is at first...the trick is to pack it down really tightly.....

Coconut coir and top soil with sphagnum moss topping in some places have worked wonders for my leopard. I would highly recommend it.

Both coco coir and sphagnum moss are available at most Petsmarts too. Organic topsoil can be found at Home Depot or Lowes.
