Hi there, im new to this forum. i have a 2 yr old Leopard tort with two large swollen bumps under his mouth off the sides.
Is this something normal? they look like huge pimples.
If anybody can reccommend a good solution and/or a good vet in new york city, Pedro and I would greatly appreciate it!
thanks,

Hi,
You would need to post pictures of his chin for us to know what's going on.

Would the bumps be in the area where ears would be if they had ears? Or under the chin? Sometimes an infection shows up in the area of the "ears" and results in abscesses that have to be cut out by a vet. Can we see a picture?

Hi Guys, sorry it took so long, but here are the photos of poor pedro's neck....
he has a very healthy appetite and is responsive and active, so that's good, but I worry about these bumps.
thanks!

They look like abcesses to me. I would get him to a vet asap. He has been suffering already an awful long time, since it took so long to get the pictures up.

General wisdom, if you *think* an animal needs a vet, it might be a good idea to seek one out.

Where are you located? We can help find a tortoise vet for you.

Here's a couple... I think those are abscesses in his neck and they are very painful.
Please take him to a Vet, they will have to cut them open and drain them...
