As the title suggests, I have 3 Hermanns torts. One is 18 months old and the other two are 3yrs old. I have certificates for all three, but all it says as far as species goes is that they're Hermanns. Any ideas on what type, and sex would be much appreciated!

First up, the youngster...

Now the older two..

I've had to seperate the youngest of the three, because I caught him/her mounting and thrusting against one of the big ones! If it is a 'he', I'd have thought he'd be too young for all of that! Is it a dominance thing? Since I've seperated them, my other two torts are a lot more active and inquisitive. They used to hide away all the time (the darker coloured one in particular). They were awake, just hiding. Now they're exploring their enclosure and seem much happier!

I have read here on TFO that the "dry humping" (Roachman) occurs as a dominance behavior; it can be male-on-male, female-on-female, female-on-male or even juvenile male-on-female (sounds pretty pornographic when you write it out)!

Danny or GB or one of our many experts will give you their best guess on the gender(s) of your group soon, I'm sure. :p

They look to be male, female, female. But honestly, it's tough for me to tell without close ups of the tail since the in the last one especially the tails are pointing straight at the camera.

In other words, it's time for me to get new glasses! LOL

What do you think Danny?
