How did I ever live without a tortoise?

Hi everyone! I'm new to all things tortoise, although I spent a lot of time researching them for about a year before adopting one. I just adopted my first tortoise, a Russian, from the humane society I work for. I named her Clementine and I've found her to be the sweetest little creature there is,although I've only had her for 2 days . She has metabolic bone disease and I posted a thread in the Regarding Russians board...maybe you could check it out and share your thoughts and experiences?

I'm glad I found this forum; everyone seems so knowledgeable and in love with tortoises!

Good luck with Clementine. I don't know anything about the bone disease but I am sure someone on this forum does.... they are great resources.

I just started with Russians this year too. I have 3 and each one has their very own personality. You can't help but love them all.

Hi! Love Clementine's name! LOL. That is what I named one of my Leopard Geckos, she is a tangerine morph so it fit
