I'm starting out early today to get Franklin some different, more humidity holding substrate, probably at home depot and another light fixture so I can get him a little warmer. I am having serious new mom stress, can't sleep over this little guy!

They are very adaptable. Don't stress too much.

I think we all have these moments, when we either just get a new tortoise or have one hatch. Like Tom said, they are pretty adaptable and usually will survive the time we spend on our learning and improving their environments. Don't let the little tweakings you need to do, stress you out so much that you lose some of the special wonder and joy of this special time in Franklin's life with you.
