I live in St. Petersburg just got a thermometer and a humidity reader thing lol.

I will build separate enclosures for my red foot and sulcata. Im working on it tomorow hopefully will be done by the next day once i get all the lights and coco bedding i now understand the dramatic difference between the two different tortoises environmentally needs.

How old do sulcatas and refoots have to be to tell if boy or girl???

Yes he is a big boy. I'm going to take him to my vet tomorrow
and get his exact weight. Delay is not too far. Maybe we
can meet up one day. I'll send your regards to Mickey :D

That will be fine for a temporary outdoor enclosure to use during nice weather, but remember that those are not done, and you need some heavy shade from high overhead. Laying plywood on top of the enclosure or something like that will make it heat up like an oven. Try to do it in an area that always has shade and sun as the sun moves across the sky. If the area has lots of weeds and grass all the better. I sun hatchlings for an hour or so, and they spend the rest of their time indoors. With your excellent climate, they could probably stay outside longer.

You still need a proper indoor set up for each tortoise. I prefer closed chambers as they make maintaining ideal conditions easy. Either way a 10 gallon is much too small for either of your tortoises. Start with a 60 or a 100, and even those won't last very long. A 4x8' enclosure will last them until they are large enough to move outside and have a dry heated night box in a big enclosure.

With indoor and outdoor enclosures like that, you should have some very happy, healthy tortoises. With the help of your climate, they should also be some of the smoothest nicest looking tortoises around.

Also im going to get weed seeds to plant in there. Should i take out the grass because they are babies and cant really move through it.
