Just wanted to stop here and say hello! I've kept many reptiles/amphibians over the years but will be picking up my first tortoise, redfoot tortoise, later this week. His table is all set up and I've just been monitoring the temps/ humidity to ensure they're stable before I bring the little guy home. This site has been invaluable, such a wealth of info!
On a side note, has anyone used beaked moss for their humid hides in their enclosures? I have a brand new bag lying around and was wondering if it was ok, or if I should just get the sphagnum.
