I have had a baby Hermanns for about three months now and I notice that when at rest, its front legs seem to pulse in and out as it is breathing, or in rythym with its heart beat. I can't recall if he has always done this but I definitely notice the pulsing now that he is getting a little bigger. Is this normal? Please let me know what you all think.

Hi noles82:

Won't you take a few moments to start a new thread in the "introductions" section and tell us a bit about yourself?

What you are seeing is quite normal with babies.

Not to worry, it is absolutely normal! I have 6 mo. old Hermann who does the same thing. Torts have no diaphragm, so sometimes use their legs like bellows. I took my tort to the vet recently, and I could tell she clearly didn't know torts very well when she was questioning the leg movement.
