hermann tortoise rammed me

My 3 month old hermann tortoise rammed my finger as I tried to offer him a leaf. I for sure probably stressed him out because he was pacing back and forth in his enclosure.

I just wanted to know if is normal and also at what age is his belly supposed to get hard, it's still kinda soft but I'm assuming it's because his 3 months.

. . . this also may mean you have a little male tortoise. The Mediterranean species are quite scrappy little tortoises.
