Good morning everyone,

Has anyone in the UK started to reduce their tortoises enclosure heating? I have decided to just use the basking lamp at the moment as it is getting warmer and I am concerned that Daisy is getting dehydrated.

Has anyone in the UK started to reduce their tortoises enclosure heating? I have decided to just use the basking lamp at the moment as it is getting warmer and I am concerned that Daisy is getting dehydrated.

I’m glad someone has asked that question because I have been reducing mine and now we have this heatwave I’m not using any heat at all. Pebbles has a large, shaded run and hide in the garden and that’s where he spends his days. I’ve kept his indoor run shaded so it’s lovely and cool.
