My name is Chuck and I and my family adopted a ~50 y.o. desert tortoise back in July. He seemed to adapt nicely to our yard and is currently enjoying a nice hibernation. Once he awakens from his slumber and starts roaming the yard again, I'm sure I'll have some questions for the experts here on TFO. For now my first post (on the debatable topics forum) will probably raise some ire and prove to be a rocky initiation into the TFO community, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
