Hi all, this is my very first time posting on the forum.. I’m Vicky, from Selby North Yorkshire UK, around 4 years ago I took in 2 unwanted Brazilian Red foot tortoises..I have a male and a female (the female is currently digging so have recently purchased an incubator) they live in a large heated shed with a fully planted outdoor enclosure attached.
In November last year I also took in a 5 month old leopard tortoise, he had been fed solely on celery and bell peppers which had caused chronic diarrhoea and he was malnourished..after a lot of tlc, vet visit, correct lighting and heat and correct diet he has now gained 121g is growing well and has healthy poop. I have been told my leopard tortoise is a Pardalis Babcocki but I’m wondering how you can tell the Pardalis Pardalis and the Pardalis Babcocki apart? I’ve had him now for 4 months today, I was led to believe the Babcocki grew slowly but yet mine has gained 121g and grown a lot in that time.
