Finally have my little redfoot. He looks so lost in his great big home! So happy and excited. Gonna spend tomorrow working in his enclosure. I have some holes to make a bit more secure since he is so tiny!! They are fixed for the night but work to do tomorrow.

I can't wait to see photos of the enclosure once it's finished. I imagine it will be perfect for him! You might already be planning this, but one good idea I've seen floating around the forum is to bury the flower pots about half way so they are more like a little cave with a dirt floor the torty can nestle into. Keep me updated on how he's eating, and how his plastron is looking. :)

I will do that tomorrow. I have so many ideas. Thank you so much for all of your help and for finding this wonderful little tortoise for me!! I promise I will spoil him rotten!

Also now that I see how small he is I have more pots I can use for additional hides! :)

Well my little addition has earned a name. Houdini. Thank God I checked every 10 mins. It managed to escape! Luckily not too far. I have Houdini in a plastic bin for the night and will be trimming the enclosure with wooden boards in the morning! There will be no more escapes!! So glad to have an active happy tortoise!
