So... Are feeder fish ok to give boxies? I thought I read somewhere it was OK, so I put two TINY ones in her water bowl. And she hunted them and gobbled them up before we could pull the camera out! My husband now thinks she's officially the coolest pet :p

She does not seem to hesitate with food. My husband was laughing because when I go out there she runs up to me and begs like our dogs.

I would imagine it would be fine. My gulf coast readily eat fish and crawfish , though I've never thrown feeder fish because I can easily catch Minnows in the ditches around here.

Unfortunately we don't have a pond near by that I can go scoop any up from, otherwise I'd love to do that. Maybe our bayou has some. Ill have to check that out! How often do you feed them to your guys?

Some feeder fish are considered better than others. Goldfish are held to be high in fat, so not as good as a regular part of the diet, but when something got the butterfly koi out of the pond my boxies had an expensive lunch.
