Eros and Gaia have had a VERY eventful Summer since they have been outside 24/7 since the nights have hit 70+ degrees and it has really showed in their growth rate and general demeaner. They are VERY active and the outside seams to make them happy! (I don't think they are going to like coming inside this Winter!)

Eros: Age-20 months. Weight-263.8 gm. Length-10.7 cm.

Gaia: Age-26 months. Weight-190.7 gm. Length9.3 cm.

and a nice couples shot.

Your husbandry practices seem to agree with the tortoise. They're looking great.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. They look great.

I'm raising 2 new hatchlings and your results have been part of my influence to use Vitashell with the humid method.

They are still growing slower than most but pyramiding is still at 0%! :p

I am a BIG fan of Vita-Shell and I think that Eros and Gaia.... not to mention WalkingRock are all a tribute to it's overall effectiveness!:)

Vita-Shell once a week for a smooth shell. (AND high heat/humidity for the first couple of years)

It's somewhat bizarre seeing smooth leopard tortoises. Even in my own, they just don't look right. :p

Neal is right they don't look right. They look GREAT. Are you planning on always housing them inside for winter? Mine is close to yours age, 28 months and last time measured in April? He was 7 1/2 inches. He will be outside in a heated shed this winter.

They will "Winter" inside till I think they are large enough to maintain an internal heat above 70 for at least 10 minits when out in the cold... maybe next year or so...
