What to say??? Bad/Wrong info that has lasted for 30+ years!!!
For those that want to learn the truth READ on. - ( for those that are convinced [ and don't want to hear otherwise ]
that a redfoot from Brazil is either a different tortoise or is 'not' a regular redfoot.. call me the bad guy ).
"Most" .carbonaria [ the last scientific name of redfoot tortoises ] reside in South America. Virtually every country
has redfoot tortoises as natives. They are ALL redfoot tortoises [ to keep it real simple ] and other than color-patterns
and possibly size.. the only difference is where they are found and are native too. The name 'cherryhead' is just a name
and doesn't mean it's special or not a 'regular' redfoot. My 20 years of limited experience has shown that each 'locale' may
have different characteristics.. the same or a combo of them all.
If you want "rare" .. see if you can find true Bolivian or Colombian.
@Cherryman304 - is your new redfoot more orange or more yellow ? And could we see his plastron please? I have a hunch..
BTW.. AGAIN your first redfoot is outstanding.. and will have HUGE yellow patches on a black carapace!!!
