Hello! This tree is in my backyard and I'm not too sure what kind of tree it is. I was wondering if anyone know what this is and if its safe to feed my hermann's tortoise. Thanks!

Is that lilac? Lilac is a bush and not really a tree but it looks like my lilac which is safe to eat. Now don't go feeding it until someone better at ID's confirms, but if it is lilac it is a good food.

I don't know the exact variety, but it looks like a type of lilac to me also

Safe to Feed
  • Common Name: Lilac
  • Latin Name: Syringa spp.
  • Family Name: Oleaceae
The flowers and leaves of the Lilac are fine to feed as part of a wider, varied diet.

Other flower colours include white, pink and purple.
