Hey, i'm in the process of preparing a redfoot enclosure. I don't quite know what all they require, I've read around 80 percent humidity everywhere. How would I achieve that? I'm thinking a reti-fogger or something similar. I've also read that they don't require basking areas, so what do I need to do as far as lighting? what would ne a good substrate for babies? I was thinking about going with 100 percent Sphagnum moss. Or mabey sphagnum/cypress mixture or top soil sphagnum mix. Which would be best? links for pictures of really good enclosure setups would also be nice! Here is a couple pictures of what i'm working with:

I don't think the sides are high enough. After you get about 3 or 4 inches of substrate in there, it would be easy for the baby to reach up and climb out.

For tortoises that require high humidity like Redfoots you might want to consider a large plastic enclosure over wood. Unfinisned wood easily absorbs moisture from the air and soil causing it to swell and it also serves as a bed for mold and bacteria. Finished (painted or a clear coat) is much more resilient to moisture but the finish may over time begin to break down when exposed to excessive moisture without good air exchange.

I use a small personal humidifier to supply humidity to my young Redfoots. It has worked very well so far. It is the same as pictured below:

what would you recommend? I'd prefer something a little nicer than just a rubbermaid tub. I was thinking maybe this would be a better option http://www.tortoisesupply.com/products/Tortoise-Table.html

If you can you can build a table for a lot less than 100+ bucks!

Look thru my sister site.. http://www.redfoots.com/redfoot.htm#

And for actual pics see here.. http://www.turtletary.com/redfootcare.htm

You may have to read a lot and follow links.. but it's all in there!

I have been following this care sheet since I got my Cherry Head over two years ago. He is growing very smooth and healthy. The care seet is very easy to follow and there are plenty of pictures. Go to the top of this page, and just click on the age appropriate care sheet.
