I thought this was an interesting read. Poor tortoise! I was also surprised by how smooth the shell is. At least, before it got a little chip from the rock.

This writer and the caretaker have no clue what they are talking about. Capuchins are a very violent species with each other, humans and other animals as well. Totally unprovoked, seemingly out of the blue, randomly directed violence is a characteristic of the whole capuchin family. I could tell you some stories...

The fact that they have South American monkeys living with African tortoises is very telling...
