    Nail ripped out? What can I do?

    Just took my Dalmation tortoise inside from his outdoor pen and noticed one of his nail is nearly gone. Instead there is a black stump - like the outer part of the nail got ripped off and the black quick stump has been left behind. Do you think that's what happened? I pick this tortoise up...
