I've had my red-footed tortoise for about 7 months now whenever is go near him he hissing and puts his head in. he never used to do this and was just wondering why he is and if there is any way to make it stop. thank you
recently I have noticed a bad smell coming from my red foot tortoise. kinda smells like poo but don't really know how to describe it, I have never noticed any smells from him before so what just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about. Also, he hasn't come out of his hide out...
yesterday i bought myself my first tortoise and he was moving around the table so much almost like running laps but after that he's just burying himself in to the ground and hiding and he's still doing it this morning. is this normal for them?
i am interested in buying a hermann tortoise (which will be my first tortoise) and was wondering if i needed to hibernate him? I tried to find an answer on google but they seem to be very in different.
