I did keep them together. The leopard got really sick like I read in one of the posts on here. Basically about a month after we got it, it slowly started going downhill... not eating/drinking, wouldnt move around, eyes wouldnt open. It was horrible :( After I found this site I divided their cage...
I had a very hard time finding a cave that our tortoise would fit in. We cut wood every year for our stove so we took a piece cut off the bottom and then cut the inside and it works PERFECT! In fact, once we put him in his new area he doubled in size and needs a bigger one. Anyone think this...
Thank you for the responses! After I posted this I ran across another posts about pairing them that was very informational. Do you include a heat bulb in your enclosure? I didnt know with him getting a little older if he needed it less?
Hello :) I am hoping someone can help me, we bought a sulcata and a leopard tortoise a year ago and our leopard didnt make it. :( Our sulcata has been by itself since the passing of the leopard and we are finally in a place where we would like to purchase another sulcata so it dosent have to...
It lists snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, amphibians, hermit crabs, and arachnids in what it is used for, but I am always a little scared to put something in their food/water that they cant get "naturally"
I am curious if anyone has ever used Zoo Meds product called reprisafe in your torts water? I have a leopard and a sulcata, do they really need water conditioner? We have well water so its pretty much like rain water and I soak them everyday for about 30 minutes.

I let my leopard (who has had some issues lately ... not eating, not opening its eyes, but it has improved 100% in the last 3 days) soak for 30 minutes and when I took him out all kinds of clear liquid came out of what I thought looked like where...
Currently I have my leopard and sulcata hatchlings together. I read online the only problem is the sulcata will grow much faster then the leopard. What is everyone elses opinion??
Doing better! I took them outside for an hr yesterday and they walked all over in the grass and even ate some! Which really shocked me since I havent fed them grass/clovers before. I picked up the nighttime bulb and I read somewhere on this site 12 hrs of basking bulb and 12 hrs of night time...
Thanks everyone for all the advice!!! I am Nicki and I live in Illinois. I have been soaking my Leo and I found if I put just a spoonful of baby food he will still drink the water! He has perked up a little and I have been feeding him only squash with some reptocal powder that has vitamins and...
I soaked them for 20 min and gave the Leo an all squash dish he opened his eyes but kept biting in the air...I kept putting it in his mouth but he wouldn't take it...crossing my fingers he will eat tomorrow and perk up after his sun bathing
