Yes sorry I haven't updated but the skin is growing back now and he eats like a machine! I looked at pics from when we first rescued him and that area was a sort of reddish brown. The vet I took him to said it was likely mouth rot. It's healing up nicely and we do soak him daily :-)

GUYS! My husband took Willie outside in the sunshine today while I was at work and he actually ate some grass!!! It's the first he had eaten since we got him Friday night! I am so happy! :-D

Alright, he's all set up! temp is about 85 in the warm spot and climbing, humidity is at 75%. I know his little tub isn't the biggest, and I'm going to work on putting together something larger here pretty soon, but this place is a palace compared to the 10 gallon tank those people had him in.

I have acquired a mercury vapor bulb and ceramic heat emitter, I could not find a thermostat locally, but I have ordered one and it should be here monday evening, what can I do to regulate the temperature until then?
